We offer delivery!
Delivery is in beta right now, so we'll need to set this up for you.
We are actively working on a self-serve delivery feature, so you can better manage delivery on your own. Stay tuned!!
Setting up delivery
When you get a moment, please send us an email at support@hotplate.com with a few things:
- A spreadsheet with two columns, one being the zip codes you want to deliver to, and the other being the price you want to charge to deliver to that zip code (e.g. “19103”, “5.00” would be the values of a row)
- An optional minimum subtotal for delivery (e.g. $25.00)
- An optional minimum subtotal for free delivery (e.g. $50.00)
- An optional contact (for example: phone / email / Instagram handle) for customers to reach out to in case they end up outside your delivery zone but want to inquire about delivery
Once you send us those, we can set it up for you!
As of now, delivery is just another type of order in Hotplate. It is not hooked up to any delivery service, we leave it up to you to decide how you want to deliver your orders.
Once you have delivery set up
There are a few things to keep in mind to make sure delivery settings are preserved:
- You'll want to duplicate an event with delivery whenever you want to preserve delivery (not create a 'net new' event)
- You'll also want to duplicate a delivery window if you add multiple delivery options
- Unfortunately, even if you create a new pickup window with the "Delivery" location, the delivery settings won't be saved unless it's duplicated from another window. Look for the yellow "Delivery" tags to ensure the delivery settings were saved!
- If you accidentally delete all delivery windows, let us know and we'll need to set up delivery again for you!
Following these steps will make sure the delivery settings are preserved! If you think delivery may not be working properly for any reason, please reach out :)

Click the 3 dots on an Event. Or, click into an Event and hit the "Duplicate" button at the top.
