Hotplate, Help!

Delivery is in beta right now, so we'll need to set this up for you. 

We are actively working on a self-serve delivery feature, so you can better manage delivery on your own. Stay tuned!!

When you get a moment, please send us an email at 

A spreadsheet with two columns, one being the zip codes you want to deliver to, and the other being the price you want to charge to deliver to that zip code (e.g. “19103”, “5.00” would be the values of a row)

An optional minimum subtotal for delivery (e.g. $25.00)

An optional minimum subtotal for free delivery (e.g. $50.00)

An optional contact (for example: phone / email / Instagram handle) for customers to reach out to in case they end up outside your delivery zone but want to inquire about delivery

Once you send us those, we can set it up for you! 

As of now, delivery is just another type of order in Hotplate. It is not hooked up to any delivery service, we leave it up to you to decide how you want to deliver your orders.

There are a few things to keep in mind to make sure delivery settings are preserved:

 an event with delivery whenever you want to preserve delivery (not create a 'net new' event)

 a delivery window if you add multiple delivery options

If you accidentally delete all delivery windows, let us know and we'll need to set up delivery again for you!

Following these steps will make sure the delivery settings are preserved! If you think delivery may not be working properly for any reason, please reach out :)

Click the 3 dots on an Event. Or, click into an Event and hit the "Duplicate" button at the top.

Delivery

Go to the "Info" tab of your event, and toggle on Enable walk-up ordering!

There are two different ways you can take walk-up orders:

 means customers won't select a specific window to pick-up their food, and can arrive whenever, including right at your event!

 means customers will select a specific window ahead of time, but will still pay onsite

Go to the "Share" tab of your event, and click on the QR code for your event!

At your event, display this QR code for customers to scan and seamlessly check-out.

Record an order on behalf of a customer by adding a manual order.

Here's all you need to know about how manual orders work.

require you to input your customer's phone number

allow you to record fulfillment type (pickup / delivery), location, pickup day and time, and items ordered
