Add a manual order

Record an order on behalf of a customer by adding a manual order.

  1. Go to Orders > Packing
  2. Click the 3 dots in the top right > Manually add order

Here's all you need to know about how manual orders work.

Manual orders

  • require you to input your customer's phone number
  • allow you to record fulfillment type (pickup / delivery), location, pickup day and time, and items ordered
  • appear on your Prep and Packing tabs
  • must be paid outside of Hotplate

Manual orders do not

  • trigger automated texts reminders
  • pull from your event's inventory
  • you'll need to reflect inventory changes by going into your event and decrementing the inventory of any item(s) on a manual order
  • get paid via Hotplate
  • because of this, the prices of items are showed as $0 on manual order tickets
