If you’ve been in business for a while, you probably know your best sellers. But sometimes you need the data to clearly see what's selling and what's not.
There are two ways to see item-level sales in Hotplate:
Insights
Go to your Insights tab and view the Items Sold chart.
This shows how many times each item has been purchased.
Toggle between Overview and Drop view.
Adjust the date range in the top right.
Orders
You can export your orders and items sold in a CSV.
Go to your Orders tab.
Click Filter and select the date range or criteria.
For example, to see orders fulfilled in December, set the Fulfillment date range to 12/1–12/31 and click Apply. Go to the Done tab to view the completed orders.
Click the 3 dots in the top right, then Export orders
Leave Export items as columns instead of rows toggled ON
Click Download CSV
The export will download as a spreadsheet with columns for each item and rows for each order.
To see how many of an item were sold, use the SUM function in a new row at the bottom of the column.
Here’s a quick guide for doing this in Google Sheets (the steps are similar in Excel or Numbers).
