Hotplate is designed to save you time, so that once your drop goes live, you can sit back and watch the orders roll in. But, we also know there may be times when you want to manually enter in an order on behalf of a customer. For example, you might be gifting something to friends, family, or a VIP.
How to manually create an order
Go to your Orders tab
Click + Create in the top right
There are 2 ways to create an order
Quick create - select this if you want to create an order that’s NOT associated with a drop
Attach to a drop - select this if you want the order to reserve inventory and pickup times for a particular drop
Once you create an order, those items will automatically be included in your Prep list and the order ticket will be on your Orders tab.
To see orders you created, filter by Order source = Manual.
Important notes about orders you create
They do not trigger automated texts reminders to customers
You'll have to collect payment for the order outside of Hotplate
