How to text blast your customers

Chefs love that Hotplate automatically texts your customers when Drops go live, but did you know that you can also send a one-off text blast to your customers anytime?

You might have an announcement for your customers that you want to send separately from your automated orders open notification. Maybe you’re letting folks know you’re changing your schedule, sharing an update about your business, highlighting an upcoming event, or just sending good wishes on a holiday.

To send a text blast

  1. Go to your Inbox tab

  2. At the top, click Blast

  3. Select your Audience

    1. All subscribers

    2. New customers

    3. Inactive customers

    4. Loyal customers

    5. Never ordered

  4. Compose your message and include a URL if you’d like. For security, only Hotplate URLs can be sent.

  5. Click Send!

To text customers with open orders

You can also choose to text just the customers with open orders (or a subset of those customers). Chefs often do this to let customers know about a change in pickup times or location. To do this:

  1. Go to your Orders tab.

  2. Click the three dots in the top right

  3. Click Text Blast

  4. Compose your message, preview it, then click Text Customers
