Why is my payout balance $0, negative, or still processing?

Common reasons a payout balance is unavailable, delayed, or negative.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If your payout balance is $0.00, delayed, or negative, it is usually due to processing timing or recent refunds or off-platform orders.

Most common reasons

  • Funds are still processing

    • After orders are placed, charges to your customers' credit cards must settle before they are available to withdraw.

    • Midnight UTC is the cutoff for when funds will process

      • Orders received before midnight UTC β†’ funds become available at midnight UTC that day

      • Orders received after midnight UTC β†’ funds become available at midnight UTC the next business day

  • Weekend/holiday timing: since banks are closed on these days, availability and transfer posting can shift to the next business day.

  • Recent refunds: refunds will reduce your available balance.

  • Off-platform payment orders (cash/Venmo/Zelle): Hotplate fees are collected from your payout balance, because the customer pays this to you via cash/Venmo/Zelle.

How to troubleshoot

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Payout β†’ click the gear button.

  2. Check your Balance to see Total balance, Processing, Ready to withdraw.

  3. Check History and any status messages for pending/processing timing.

  4. Review recent refunds or off-platform payment orders.

  5. If your balance is still unexpected, contact support with the payout ID and date.
