A private drop is visible only to the people you share the link with. Use it when you want to offer something to a select group, like VIP customers, a catering client, or friends and family, without announcing it to your whole list.
What makes a drop private:
It won't appear on your storefront.
Hotplate won't send the drop text to your subscribers.
Only people with the drop link can see it and order.
To make a drop private
Open your drop and go to the Schedule tab.
Under Options, change Drop visibility from Public to Private.
Click Schedule drop.
Copy the drop link and send it straight to the customers you want to invite.
Remember: Because Hotplate won't notify anyone, your customers only hear about the drop from you. Don't forget to send it out.
