Using Hotplate for ticketed events

Last updated March 4, 2025

Many chefs and bakers also like to offer classes, workshops, or ticketed meals in addition to drops. These in person events are a great way to bring your community together and connect with the people that support you!

It’s easy to use a standard Hotplate Event to sell tickets. Here’s how we recommend you do it:

  1. Create an event and add the name + details about the event
  2. Create 1 menu item that is a ticket to the event. Be descriptive about what’s included in the cost of the ticket
  3. Create only 1 pickup window that is the date, time, and location of the event
  4. Message our team ( support@hotplate.com ) and we can turn this into a ticketed event on our end. This removes the words “Pickup On” before the date on your Event and changes “Pickup Info” to “Reservation Info” on customer order confirmations.
