How to edit order details in the new portal

How to update orders after checkout, including notes, items, and fulfillment details.

Customers cannot directly edit an order after checkout, but you can.

How to edit an order

  1. Open Orders and click the order ticket.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Choose what to change: note, items, or fulfillment details.

What you can update

  • Notes: internal notes for your team.

  • Items: add/remove items.

  • Fulfillment details: type, location, date, or time.

Important caveats

  • Item edits may affect inventory immediately.

  • If charges need to change, settle differences outside Hotplate when required.

  • You cannot change customer data (name, email, phone) and you can't change the phone number that the order was placed under

    • Your customer can update their personal information during their next checkout.

    • If it's an urgent change, reach out to us ([email protected]) with the customer's phone number (this is the quickest way for us to find them!) and the updated information.
